What is Ear Candy?
Ear candy is a term that can include synth/percussion/bass synths/FX/transitions/accents and all that good stuff that makes your ears perk up when you're listening to your favorite song. Michael Jackson used a TON of ear candy, lots of pop artists like Bruno Mars or Justin Timberlake, as well as artists in other genres like hip-hop, rap, and even country. Sometimes ear candy elements are more prevalent in a mix, but often times these supplemental sounds are more "tucked away" into a mix - but trust me - it makes all the difference!!
